"During the first year of creating ketubot, I met a Jewish couple from Alaska.
They commissioned me to produce an anniversary ketubah to celebrate some twenty five years of marriage.
The wanted something that depicted Alaska, as well as showing their deep connection to the Land of israel.
I created two frames within one work.
The ketubah is dominated by a map of Alaska which i used to place the ketubah text in.
The map is surrounded by elements of Alaskan nature and wildlife.
The next frame shows Israel.
Jerusalem settles into the landscape at the base of the work, along with the Kinneret and the river Jordan.
Flowers of both Alaska and Israel bring color and natural beauty to the piece."
