This was one of my first ketubot and I love it for its energy and innocence.
Jerusalem spreads itself out within an arch at the top of the work. Positioned along both sides of the Jersualem are palm trees.
Two stars of David inhabit the border. One star contains a night sky and a full moon reflected in the calm waters of a body of water. The other star represents the day and the heat of the sun spreading its warmth across the surface of the water.
Flowers of my own inspiration rise from the base, a peacock, feathers stretched out in a Smorgasbord of color, part of a stylized menorah.
The background for the illumination is deep blue, a color which for me represents wonderment and depth of emotions.
All ketubah are signed by the artist and produced on Somerset Velvet acid free archival paper.
